Stop Minor Bleeding

How do you stop minor bleeding on your dog? Nail was trimmed to short, or, they accidentally got themselves stuck on something. In addition to having hydrogen peroxide in your kit, you should carry Stiptic Pads.

Simply place the pad on the open wound, and in a few moments the bleeding will have stopped.

This is usually better than trying to wrap their foot up. Stiptic pads can be bought on amazon for cheap.

Heartworm Prevention

It's coming on April, and what does that mean? Heartworm season is coming upon us. You should protect your dog from this every year, and we like to start our dogs in May.

There's a few options. You can get chewable formulas or you can get a shot, depending on your vet. We like the shot for the convenience alone. 1 shot, and our pups are good for 6 months, from almost all the parasites, including heartworm. This puts them through the entire heartworm season.

Chewable work as well, but you need to remember to give it to them every month.

Make sure you get your dog protected.

My Dog Ate Something Bad. What Do I Do?

Your dog has just ingested a chocolate brownie, is caught licking up oil, etc. How in the world are you gonna get that out of their stomach before it hurts or kills them??

Little known remedies. Hydrogen peroxide. Dump a decent amount inside your dog's mouth, and it seconds , your dog will throw up everything in their stomach, effectively clearing it out of toxic materials.

Hydrogen peroxide is not harmful to dogs, and has no lasting medical affects.

You should always carry a first aid kit for your dog, anytime you leave the house. Hydrogen peroxide should be in that kit.
